Windows Defender issue identified in Collection-Master 9.1D.024
It has been found that Collection-Master 9.1D.024 has affected a small number of clients where Windows Defender is falsely identifying the application VLMQT.EXE as a threat and deleting it. This is due to a false positive reported by Microsoft in the version that was released. Users who attempt to open Collection-Master will receive an error 4152 on line 23176 and will be unable to continue.
Vertican has pulled update 9.1D.024 and released 9.1D.025 that includes the latest VLMQT.EXE. This version has been run through Microsoft’s evaluation process and has been whitelisted.
If your firm is not experiencing the issue, no action is needed. However, if you are experiencing the issue, you can download the previous version of VLMQT.EXE until 9.1D.025 can be installed. It is also recommended that you ensure your Windows Security signatures are up to date.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further questions please email support or call 1-800-435-7257.
